I can teach candidates in person or virtually. My virtual classes are anchored on one of several video conferencing platforms (based on the preference of the student).

I teach a typical scientific concept from first principles while allowing plenty of room for the student's own ideas and contributions. I always go from the simple to the not-so-simple.

I am quick to point out the everyday applications of a principle or concept or equation, because I have observed that students are fascinated by things they can relate with in everyday life, and do not always appreciate wholly abstract concepts.

I am quick to spot fatigue or disengagement during a lesson, and can easily restore focus by re-directing the student using one of several edutainment tools, such as a game or video relating to the topic. For instance, if we were exploring projectile motion, I would show a video of the launching of a spaceship.

That works! So my lessons are always fun and fulfilling.
