I have been a private tutor for over 5 years. All my lessons are fun as this is the best learning environment. I focus on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, but can tailor lessons to suit your specific needs. I have taught thousands of hours online and in-person, with my clients as young as 4 years old through to retired-age adults. I was very fortunate as a child to have had the opportunity to lived and been educated in France and England and I have never lost my passion for French. I would like to pass on my knowledge and understanding of French to others, hopefully to allow them the same benefits afforded me from speaking a foreign language. In my lessons we will always review what we have learned in the previous lesson and will regularly review what we have learned across all the lessons, as repetition is the best way to learn. All students will be given plenty of opportunity to ask questions and I love it when they do ask questions, as this shows they are interested in learning. My teaching method is to firstly, explain the grammatical point or theme and then, to show examples and finally, to go through a series of questions. This will truly show me if the student has understood and will also show the student the progress they are making. I will sometimes even ask the student to explain the point back to me, which really shows their understanding of the topic.
