After receiving my PhD in molecular biology from Oxford University in 2008, I went on to spend another 8 years researching molecular signalling networks at the CRUK Manchester Institute. I have published my work in many internationally renowned journals, and have an aptitude for presenting complex scientific ideas in a clear, concise manner, and to an exceptionally high standard. I have also engaged in a senior scientific editing role with Cactus Communications for the last 7 years, which has broadened my knowledge of different aspects of biology, from GM crops and agriculture to cancer cell proliferation, pharmacology, and clinical trials. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who will always go the extra mile to ensure that my students gain an in-depth understand of their subject. I am very flexible in my teaching styles, and can accommodate personalised teaching if required. I can teach any level of biology from GCSE up to University, and look forward to passing on my knowledge to anyone who is keen to enhance their knowledge of the life sciences.
