I prefer one-on-one as it helps me have a better understanding of the student. Being a tutor doesn’t mean l talk as the student listens but it is an interaction between the tutor(being me ) and the student. I want to hear what the student understood then add from there molding the student’s thoughts and giving them flesh. I have the ‘ no answer is wrong ‘ policy; this builds the student’s confidence and helps in sharpening their research skills. Learning should be fun and it is fun.
Biology is any everyday subject that is interwoven in our everyday lives and as a tutor l assist the student in identifying these biological processes as there occur. This helps the student relate biology as a subject and other science related subject such as chemistry and geography.
