My lessons are built around you — your level, your goal and your timeline.

I specialise in Functional Skills Maths at Entry Level, Level 1, and Level 2, working with adults upskilling for work or career changes, as well as all GCSE levels for any age.

The first session begins with a short diagnostic assessment to identify your working level and any gaps. We'll then set clear goals, go through exactly what your exam involves and build a personalised plan. You'll leave knowing precisely what we're covering and how we'll track your progress.

Ongoing sessions are calm, structured, and pressure-free. I understand that most of my students have had difficult experiences with maths, rebuilding confidence is just as important as building skills. Sessions combine targeted teaching, guided practice and regular exam-style questions using a mix of past papers and tailored worksheets, so you're fully prepared before the exam.

I hold a degree in Education and a Level 5 DET in Teaching Mathematics, with over five years of experience, including classroom teaching within a prison setting, working with adults who had disengaged from education for years. That experience shaped how I teach. I meet every student where they are, without judgement and move them forward at a pace that works for them.

I've taken classroom pass rates from 33% to 85%, and carry a strong track record of passes through private tutoring.
