I’m Hannah, a passionate biology tutor with a 1st Class Honours degree in Biology from University College London. Currently, I am studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liverpool, where I apply biology every day in a medical context.

I am an experienced tutor, with 4 years of teaching biology at secondary, GCSE, and A-level, supporting students across a range of exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and CIE.

With experience tutoring biology at secondary, GCSE, and A-level, I am passionate about delivering lessons that are engaging, motivating, and genuinely enjoyable. My approach centres on developing deep understanding rather than simple memorisation, enabling students to build lasting confidence by truly understanding the “why” behind the content. Every lesson is carefully tailored to the individual. I adapt my teaching to suit each student’s needs, goals, and preferred learning style, ensuring sessions are both supportive and highly effective.

Lessons take place via Teams or Zoom, where I use a virtual whiteboard for clear explanations, diagrams, and interactive exercises. I also create detailed PowerPoint presentations so that students leave each session with high-quality, structured materials to support their revision.

In addition, I provide access to a wide range of carefully selected practice questions and worksheets, which we work through together to strengthen understanding and exam technique.

I believe science is best learned through discussion and guided reasoning. By encouraging students to think logically and draw their own conclusions, we deepen understanding, strengthen memory retention, and build a strong foundation for exam success with confidence and accuracy.
