Hala Metwally

I am a highly experienced Biology teacher with over 30 years of teaching experience in IGCSE and A-Level Biology. Throughout my career, I have taught students from diverse backgrounds and helped many achieve excellent academic results and gain confidence in their scientific understanding.

My lessons are interactive, student-centred, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then develop a personalised learning plan. Lessons typically include clear explanations of key concepts, guided practice with exam-style questions, discussion of common misconceptions, and regular review of past paper questions to strengthen examination skills.

I use a variety of teaching methods, including visual presentations, diagrams, digital resources, and real-life biological examples to make complex topics easier to understand. I encourage active participation and critical thinking, helping students develop both subject knowledge and analytical skills.

As a former trainer of teachers in educational technology and interactive learning, I effectively incorporate digital tools into my online lessons to create an engaging learning environment. My goal is not only to help students achieve outstanding examination results but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of Biology.

I currently teach Biology at Crimson Global Academy and hold extensive experience teaching Cambridge and Pearson curricula, including IGCSE, AS, and A-Level Biology. In 2016, I was honoured by the British Council for my long service and commitment to international education.
