My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and built around helping you actually understand the subject rather than just memorise it, I focus a lot on plain-English explanations and real-world examples, especially for topics that seem confusing at first (like cells, genetics, chemical reactions, algebra, or the human body).
Each session usually starts with checking what you already know and where you're getting stuck, then we work through the tricky bits together. I like using diagrams, analogies, and practice questions rather than just talking at you. If you've got homework, past papers, or specific topics from school, we can build lessons directly around those, and I'll adapt my approach depending on whether you're aiming to catch up, stay on track, or push for top grades.
I also put a strong emphasis on exam technique, not just knowing the content, but knowing how to structure answers, manage time under pressure, and avoid the common mistakes that cost easy marks. Where it helps, I'll set short follow-up tasks between sessions so concepts actually stick rather than fading before the next lesson.
I'm currently a final-year Biomedical Sciences student, so I'm comfortable across science, chemistry, and maths up to GCSE level (and some A-Level biology/chemistry). I've helped classmates and coursemates work through difficult concepts before exams, and I know what it's like to struggle with a topic and need someone to break it down patiently, so that's exactly the kind of tutor I aim to be. Above all, my goal is for you to leave every session feeling more confident than when you started.
