Gurdeep Singh

Hello, I'm Gurdeep, a maths tutor based in Birmingham offering both online and in-person lessons. I hold a Distinction MSc in Future Vehicle Technologies and a 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Aston University. Throughout my studies and projects, mathematics has been at the heart of everything I do, from advanced modelling and simulation to control systems and engineering design.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. Whether you are preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, university assessments, or simply looking to improve your understanding of a particular topic, I will create a structured approach that helps you progress with confidence.

I believe that many students struggle with maths because concepts are often introduced too quickly or without enough explanation. My teaching style focuses on breaking complex problems into simple, manageable steps and ensuring that students understand the reasoning behind each solution rather than relying on memorisation alone.

During lessons, we will work through examples together, identify any gaps in understanding, and practise exam-style questions to strengthen both knowledge and problem-solving skills. I encourage students to ask questions and develop confidence in tackling challenging problems independently.

I aim to create a friendly, supportive, and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades but also to develop the analytical thinking and confidence that will benefit them throughout their education and future careers.
