Greg Woodcock

With over a decade of live performance experience and several years of dedicated teaching, I offer guitar lessons that are friendly, confidence-building, and tailored to each student. I’ve spent more than 10 years performing in a successful cover band, gaining real-world musical insight that I now bring directly into my lessons.

I’ve taught guitar for 3 years previously, working with complete beginners through to intermediate players, and I genuinely enjoy helping students take their first steps or break through to the next level. Whether you want to learn chords, rhythm, technique, or your favourite songs, I teach both standard music notation and tablature to suit different learning styles.

My qualifications include guitar up to Grade 6, and I have experience teaching a wide range of ages — from children as young as 5 to adults picking up the instrument for the first time. My approach is patient, encouraging, and structured, making lessons enjoyable while still building solid musical foundations.

I can teach online via webcam or in person at my home or at your home if you are from a commutable distance. I can also bring a guitar along if you don't yet have an instrument of your own and any extra equipment you may need. I can taylor lessons towards your own musical taste if it motivates you to learn and I can help you to play in time along with tracks too.
