Gracie Brown

Hi! I’m Gracie and I’m a professional grade 8 level guitarist who is looking to branch out in to teaching. I have a national extended diploma in music performance and I am currently studying for a bachelor’s in music business. I have played at live venues across Leeds (such as The Wardrobe, The Key Club and The Lending Room) with bands and as a session musician which has granted me first hand knowledge of the music industry and an abundance of playing techniques. I have been playing for 5 years and have almost always been professionally taught throughout this time. I can teach beginners to intermediate at any level (also branching out in to advanced but depending on what you wish to learn) and can teach any age. I would prefer to teach online due to safety reasons but I am based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The way my lessons are presented are we discuss what your aims are and I research the content needed to provide you with everything you need to progress; I have lesson plans for beginners and also certain skills (for example, an introduction to theory, common chord progressions and improvisation). I teach both acoustic, bass and electric guitar (but electric is defintily my favourite) and can play / teach a variety of genres (blues, funk, mathrock, metal) and teach you lots of viable skills like improvising, composing, notation, scales, exercises, chords in keys and much more to make you the best guitarist you can be!
