Georgina Kernaghan

Hello! I’m a British qualified primary teacher (QTS and PGCE) with over 11 years of teaching experience in both the UK and international schools abroad. I have taught and tutored children from a wide range of backgrounds and currently work with learners online across several countries.

I specialise in phonics, early reading and English as an Additional Language (EAL), helping children develop strong foundations in reading, speaking and writing. I also teach maths, writing, reading comprehension and provide personalised home education sessions.

Every lesson is carefully planned around the individual learner. Whether your child benefits from structured National Curriculum support, confidence-building, or a more creative, project-based approach to learning, I tailor each session to suit their interests, needs and goals. My aim is to make learning engaging, enjoyable and meaningful while helping every child grow in confidence.

Alongside my classroom experience, I hold a TEFL qualification and the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL). I have mentored teachers, administered the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check and Key Stage 1 SATs, and supported pupils in preparing for their Key Stage 2 SATs.

I believe that children learn best when they feel happy, supported and encouraged. My lessons are interactive, positive and designed to inspire a genuine love of learning while helping every learner reach their full potential.
