Hi I’m Georgia! I am a native English speaker born and raised in the south of England looking to help people build their confidence with speaking and comprehending the English language.

The lessons I provide can be tailored to an individuals preferred learning techniques and understanding of the language.

We can practice through having mock English conversations at varying levels of difficulty, learning word by word through association, definition and use in a sentence, or going through online teaching materials together!

My lessons will be virtual and I am pretty flexible in terms of time of day these sessions can be held and the frequency. I understand that students may have work or other studies during the day so can offer either time set aside per week in the evenings or during the day.

I have previously spent 4 months travelling around latin America and 6 weeks in China so I completely understand being in an environment where, although I am trying to learn and comprehend what is being said, I struggle to understand conversations around me. I would love to make these situations easier for those wishing to learn and develop their comprehension of the English language - whatever grasp of it you may already have!

Whilst I have not been a teacher previously, a past experience that make my well suited for this (as well as the travel experience mentioned above), is that I was a mentor to a troubled 11 year old girl throughout an awkward transition to high school where her surroundings, routines, friends, subjects were all new and completely overwhelming. We would meet up every week through a child support network and use games, arts and crafts, or long walks to help understand how she felt and work through any questions she had about anything - including language as English was her second language!
