My lessons are always tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. I believe students learn best when lessons are interactive, supportive, and adapted to what helps them feel most confident. For a typical one-hour lesson, I usually begin with around 15 minutes of speaking practice to build confidence and improve pronunciation and fluency. We then move on to reading exercises to develop comprehension and vocabulary, followed by dictation tasks to strengthen listening and spelling skills. Finally, we finish with a writing activity to apply everything covered during the lesson.
I aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I have experience tutoring children of different ages and abilities, including both paid tutoring and volunteer work with disadvantaged children. I can teach students up to GCSE level and adapt the pace and structure of lessons depending on the student’s age, confidence, and targets. Whether a student wants to improve academically, gain confidence, or practise conversational skills, I focus on making lessons engaging, productive, and enjoyable. My lessons are always tailored to each student’s individual needs, goals, and learning style.
