My lessons are one-to-one and built entirely around what you need. The first session consists of a conversation since I'll need to find out where you're at, what you're working on, and, most importantly, what your goals look like. Then, we build a plan from there. Sessions can run online or in person, and are hands-on rather than lecture-style as we work directly on your actual project, drawing, or software file so that progress is visible from the first lesson. Depending on what you need, that might mean sketching and critiquing ideas together, working through a Revit or Photoshop tutorial step by step, or reviewing and restructuring a portfolio page by page.

I have 3 years of experience working in the art field, specifically at an art and design school where I taught large classes and gave one-to-one advice sessions. I also bring a year's experience as an architectural mentor to the table, so I'm used to adapting my teaching style across a wide age range, from primary and secondary pupils just discovering design, through to sixth formers preparing university applications, to undergraduates further into their degree. I have additionally taught adults who were keen to develop a new passion for art and supported them on their journey. I'm someone who's extremely empathetic and supportive, as I understand how each stage feels because I've recently been through it all myself (Part 1 graduate, now MArch Part 2 student). Therefore, I try to teach the way I'd have wanted to be taught.
