I have experience in online tutoring, which means I am used to the format of setting up tutoring sessions in an online environment. Typically, my sessions include a powerpoint that contains all contents I wish to cover in the session, within these powerpoints are often blank slides with a subheading that allows the student to provide as much detail on that subheading as they can. For example, if I am looking to explain the past tense in French, the subheading could say 'conjugating -er verbs', then the student would have to explain to me how to conjugate -er verbs, then the following slide will show what I have written on conjugating these verbs. Sometimes I don't use powerpoints for lessons, instead the environment feels more conversational, and it allows the student to discuss the topics and areas they are struggling with, and through conversation we build on these areas and help improve confidence in them.
