The first time I set foot in a classroom as a History teacher I left with a smile from ear to ear. I immediately knew I was going to be a - poor - teacher for the rest of my life!
It seems like I was right: Many years have gone by since that day and I am still here loving to teach History (:

I teach 1:1 History classes, with an overview of the whole world and tailored to the needs and interests of the student - I think our curiosities and passions are the best learning drivers, so we go with that as much as we can.
I like to link History to one’s own curiosity and own passion, and with Politics, Cultures, Philosophy and International relations. I believe being able to think as a Historian is a great asset to all aspects of life - and it can also a lot of fun (or at least I try my best!)
I love comic books and pop culture in general (like films and music), and I like to bring those to class if it is of the interest of the student - there is a lot we can learn about History through culture.
I have a research and teaching degree in History (in Brazil, where I am from), and I am finishing my PhD in the History of the Middle East and Philosophy of Time in the UK.
I’ve taught History in schools (Secondary and High School) in Brazil for 2 years, and ever since have been teaching in the University level (Undergrad and Postgrad), most recently in the UK where I’ve been a tutor for Modern Middle Eastern History and Introduction to Historical Thought.
I love studying and teaching History and I think a good class must be interesting and fun - perhaps slightly intriguing too.
Let’s have an online cup of tea, tell me your favourite historical fact, and we can start from there.
See you soon!
