Federica Lombardi

My name is Federica, I’m Italian, and I’ve been living in London for nine years.
I started teaching Italian as a foreign language more than five years ago, and I absolutely love it!

I earned my certificate in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language from the Università per Stranieri di Siena after attending a training course in London, where I had the opportunity to meet many other Italian teachers and complete my internship.

My students range from beginner to upper-intermediate level. I help them explore the language in depth — to truly understand it and build a strong foundation, rather than simply memorize it.

We use English as our common language when necessary, and I also speak Spanish.

I use Google Drive to share documents and useful links, and to correct or discuss homework with my students — this way, we can focus our lesson time on communication and practice (unless we need to review something specific).

I have gained experience in preparing students for the CILS B1 Citizenship exam and the GCSE Italian exam. Over the past two years, I have designed and delivered Italian lessons for foreign students on behalf of a company, tailoring each class to the company's and my students’ specific needs.

Depending on your goals with Italian, I will create a personalized programme that balances reading, speaking, listening, and writing according to your needs.

I like to motivate my students with videos and short films.

I’m passionate about modern and classical languages — I studied Latin and Ancient Greek for five years in Italy.
I hold a degree in Law and worked as a lawyer before deciding to become an Italian teacher.

My hobbies are cooking, travelling, and reading — and I love to bring all these elements into my lessons!
