Hi, My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I usually begin by identifying which topics the student feels confident with and where there may be gaps in their understanding. From there, I break more difficult Biology or Chemistry concepts down into clear, manageable steps, using diagrams, examples and questions throughout the lesson to check understanding.

I like my lessons to be a two-way conversation rather than simply talking through content. I use techniques such as active recall, practice questions and real-life examples to help students understand and remember what they are learning. A key focus is also exam technique, so we regularly work through past-paper and exam-style questions together, looking closely at mark schemes and learning how to structure answers in the way examiners are looking for.

Lessons can also be adapted depending on what the student needs most, whether that is revisiting a difficult topic, preparing for an upcoming test, improving their confidence or working towards a particular grade.

I am a final-year Biochemistry student at the University of Warwick and recently completed a year-long industrial placement at GSK, which has given me experience seeing how science is applied in a professional pharmaceutical environment. I also have previous tutoring experience with Explore Learning and Tutors United, where I have worked with students of different abilities and learning needs. This has helped me develop a patient and supportive teaching style where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through topics they may initially find challenging.
