Farzana Chowdhury

I would describe myself as a patient, friendly and hardworking individual who enjoys helping others learn and grow. Through my experience as a Teaching Assistant at Pakeman Primary School, I developed the ability to explain concepts clearly, support children individually and encourage them to build confidence in their learning. I have also strengthened my communication, organisation and interpersonal skills through my receptionist and customer service roles, where I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

My lessons are aimed at students preparing for the 11+ examination who want to improve their English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. I adapt my teaching to each student's learning style and ability, creating a supportive and engaging environment that helps them gain confidence and achieve their academic goals.

have experience supporting children's learning through my role as a Teaching Assistant at Pakeman Primary School, where I worked one-to-one with pupils aged 4–5, helping them with handwriting, classwork and independent tasks while encouraging their confidence and participation. In addition, my receptionist and customer service roles have strengthened my communication, organisation, patience and problem-solving skills. I am confident working with people from diverse backgrounds, explaining information clearly and adapting my approach to meet individual needs. I have GCSEs in English, Maths and Science and am currently studying Children's Nursing at university, which has further developed my understanding of supporting and communicating with young people.
I will create a positive, supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes. I will begin by identifying each student's strengths and areas for improvement, then tailor my lessons to their individual needs. I will explain concepts clearly, use practice questions and exam-style exercises to reinforce learning, and provide regular feedback to help students track their progress. My goal is to build both their academic ability and confidence so they feel fully prepared for the 11+ examination.
