My piano lessons are designed to inspire students while giving them a strong musical foundation. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to their age, level, and personal goals. Whether you are a beginner, preparing for exams, or an adult returning to piano, lessons are structured to be clear, engaging, and effective.
Each lesson usually begins with short warm-up exercises that develop finger strength, coordination, and freedom at the keyboard. We then work on repertoire, which may include classical pieces, exam programs, or well-known melodies that motivate students. I guide students not only in learning the notes but also in understanding phrasing, dynamics, and musical expression so that they can truly bring the music to life.
I also spend time teaching practice strategies—how to break down passages, how to listen critically, and how to make progress between lessons. This helps students build independence and confidence in their learning.
For those preparing for ABRSM or RCM exams, I create a clear step-by-step plan, including technical work, sight-reading, and performance skills. For others, lessons may focus more on creativity, interpretation, or simply enjoying music.
