I teach my students using Google meets. I like to focus on one area per session. For example, for my gcse students I prefer to do one hour a week on English language and one hour a week on English literature. For language I will focus on either paper 1 or paper 2 and from those papers will pick the hardest question to tackle first and then continue with the rest. For literature again I like to tackle with the text my students find the hardest e.g going over unseen poetry. This helps students gain confidence after completing the hardest component of the paper. Each week we will switch up what paper/text we cover so that by exam time everything will have been covered. For my primary school students this approach is altered slightly as I put more emphasis on strengthening creative writing and persuasive writing to help build their relationship with these topics, so come GCSE time they are more than ready to tackle these questions. For my sats students I focus on making sure my students know every device, punctuation mark and spelling words before attempting any papers. For my A level students it would be the same approach as my GCSE students.
