An online lesson with me is designed to feel warm, focused, and engaging from the very start. Each one hour session is carefully tailored to your child’s individual needs, whether we are working on Maths or English. Before the lesson, I plan activities based on the pupil’s current level, targets, and any areas that need consolidation or challenge.

We begin with a friendly check in and a short warm-up activity to build confidence and settle into learning. For Maths, this might involve quick recall practice or a fun problem solving starter question. For English, we may start with a creative prompt, reading extract, or spelling challenge. The main part of the lesson is broken into manageable sections, using clear explanations, interactive tasks, and visual resources shared on screen. I encourage pupils to talk through their thinking, ask questions, and explain their ideas, helping to develop both understanding and confidence.

Because I am enthusiastic with experience in children's theatre pupils are usually very engaged , I help them feel safe to make mistakes and try again. I adapt throughout the session, responding to how the pupil is feeling and adjusting pace or approach as needed. If something isn’t clicking, we explore it in a different way.

We end each lesson with a short review, celebrating progress and setting clear next steps, so every child leaves feeling proud, motivated, and ready for the next session. I am proud to have been able to support many families over the past decade and look forward to working with you.
