I hold a PhD and a First Class Honours bachelor's degree. I have experience teaching GCE A-level Chemistry and helping students to achieve A/A*.

As a patient, friendly and enthusiastic tutor, I explain challenging concepts clearly and adapt my teaching to each student's needs. I aim not only to help students achieve their target grades, but also to build their confidence, spark their curiosity and inspire them to enjoy Chemistry.

I provide exam-focused Chemistry tuition for GCSE, IGCSE and GCE A-level students, combining clear explanations with targeted exam practice. My lessons combine three key elements:

- Understand: Break down difficult concepts into clear, manageable explanations so students understand why chemical processes happen, rather than simply memorising them.
- Practise: Work through exam-style questions to identify common question patterns, apply knowledge to unfamiliar problems and strengthen problem-solving skills.
- Improve exam technique: Learn how to interpret command words, structure answers precisely, show calculations clearly and avoid common mistakes that can cost valuable marks.

I provide self-prepared notes and past-paper practice to reinforce understanding, identify knowledge gaps and improve exam performance. Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs, target grade and examination board.
