As I will be tutoring online, I will be sharing an online PowerPoint with the topic that I will be teaching that lesson. Following that, I will have exam questions that correspond to that topic. If the student has any misunderstanding, I will make sure to explain to the best of my abilities to ensure they have understood the foundations of that topic first as with maths, the basics are key, and once they have been mastered, questions will start to become easier to understand.
Due to this tutoring being remote, I will need the student to have access to messages of WhatsApp so they can send me all the work they do. This is so I can see if they are answering the questions correctly and to see if they are using the correct methods.
I will make sure to devote my full attention to the student, making sure to answer any queries that they have in the topic.
My teaching is very active learning based, so I will keep the student engaged by continually providing them with questions so everything they learn will be locked in and will not be forgotten very easily.
Also I will makes sure not to rush any topics and pace the student at a moderate speed so they don’t feel too pressured and too overwhelmed.
Due to the tutoring being online, I am very flexible with timings, so we can reschedule if any problems pop up.
