Anisha Datta

I am a dedicated, friendly and enthusiastic primary school tutor with a passion for helping children build confidence, develop essential skills and enjoy learning. I am currently completing my PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through FIPC and the University of Derby, where I am developing my teaching skills and gaining valuable classroom experience.

I specialise in supporting primary school children with English and Maths, including reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, writing, arithmetic and problem-solving. I understand that every child has different strengths and areas for development, which is why I adapt my lessons to suit their individual learning needs.

My lessons are structured, engaging and interactive. I begin by identifying what the child already understands and which areas they may need additional support with. I then introduce activities that build on their existing knowledge, using clear explanations, modelling, visual resources and practical examples to make learning easier to understand.

Throughout each session, I encourage children to ask questions, explain their thinking and develop independence. I also incorporate opportunities to revisit previous learning, practise new skills and apply their understanding through different activities.

Through my classroom experience, I have developed an understanding of how to support children with a range of abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I aim to create a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable and that celebrating small achievements is just as important as reaching bigger goals. My priority is to help children feel confident in their abilities, overcome challenges and make consistent progress.

I also provide feedback to parents, highlighting their child’s achievements, areas for improvement and suggested activities to support learning at home.
