My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding, identifying areas for improvement, and agreeing on clear learning objectives. I then explain concepts in a simple and engaging way, using real-life examples, diagrams, questioning and practical activities where appropriate.

I encourage students to actively participate rather than simply listen. Lessons typically include a combination of explanation, guided practice, discussion, exam-style questions and independent tasks. I regularly check understanding throughout the lesson and adapt my teaching approach according to the student’s progress and learning style.

For GCSE and KS3 students, I place particular emphasis on developing strong subject knowledge, confidence, problem-solving skills and exam technique. I also provide constructive feedback and revisit challenging topics to ensure that students make steady progress. I use differentiated resources and gradually increase the level of challenge as the student becomes more confident.

I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they receive the right encouragement and support. Therefore, I focus not only on academic achievement but also on building motivation, curiosity and independent learning skills. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and help students recognise their own strengths.

My aim is to create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their confidence. I am patient, approachable and committed to helping each student achieve their academic potential while making learning enjoyable, meaningful and rewarding.
