Learning Chemistry should be about understanding, not memorising. My lessons are designed to build confidence by explaining concepts clearly using real-life examples, diagrams, practical applications, and exam-style questions tailored to each student's level and learning style.
I teach GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level, Access to HE, and undergraduate Chemistry, covering Organic, Inorganic, Physical, and Analytical Chemistry, as well as laboratory skills, calculations, and examination techniques. Every lesson is personalised after assessing your strengths and identifying areas for improvement.
I hold a PhD in Chemistry, together with BEng and MSc degrees in Chemical Engineering, giving me a strong interdisciplinary understanding of chemistry, mathematics, engineering principles, and their real-world applications. During my secondary education, I achieved the equivalent of a Grade 8 (A) in Chemistry and a Grade 9 (A1) in Mathematics at GCSE level. These achievements provided a solid academic foundation and reflect the importance of mastering mathematical skills, which are essential for success in Chemistry, particularly in calculations, stoichiometry, kinetics, equilibrium, and physical chemistry.
I also had the privilege of being taught Chemistry by one of the finest Chemistry teachers during my secondary education. His ability to simplify complex scientific concepts inspired my own teaching philosophy, and I strive to make every lesson engaging, logical, and enjoyable for my students.
With over five years of teaching experience across secondary schools, sixth forms, further education, and university settings, together with many years of wider teaching and mentoring experience, I have helped many learners achieve their academic goals. As an active researcher, recent Honorary Research Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University, editor of Royal Society of Chemistry and CRC Press books, and a UK Global Talent Visa holder endorsed by the Royal Society of Chemistry, I bring current scientific knowledge into every lesson. Whether you need support to improve your grades, prepare for examinations, or build confidence in Chemistry, I am committed to helping you succeed.
