I offer friendly and personalised GCSE tutoring in Chemistry, Biology and Maths, covering both Foundation and Higher levels. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to make difficult topics feel much easier to understand.

Each lesson will be tailored to the individual student. We can focus on topics they are struggling with, work through their school content, revise previous topics or prepare specifically for upcoming exams. I like to break complicated concepts down into simple steps before working through examples together and allowing the student to practise independently.

For Chemistry and Maths in particular, I will spend time developing confidence with calculations and showing students clear methods they can apply to unfamiliar questions. For Biology and Chemistry, I will also focus on understanding key concepts rather than simply memorising information.

Lessons can include exam-style questions, past-paper practice, diagrams, worked examples, quizzes and active recall depending on how the student learns best. I can also help students understand mark schemes and recognise exactly what examiners are looking for in longer written answers.

Having recently completed A-level Chemistry, Biology and Maths, I understand the GCSE-to-A-level progression and the pressure that comes with preparing for important exams. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, getting things wrong and trying again.

Whether a student wants to strengthen a particular topic, improve their exam technique or work towards a higher grade, I will adapt our lessons to their individual goals and learning style.
