I like to work with students to design an overall plan for the sessions, taking into account their preferences, priorities, needs, learning styles and any learning difficulties they experience.

I use a mixed methods approach, including presentations, resources, conversation, scenario based learning, quizzes and media including videos, recordings and website content.

I also take a thematic approach, - which may include general themes, focusing on the vocabulary and grammar that relates to these - or linguistic themes, focusing on specific rules and exceptions and exploring the use of different verbs and vocabulary.

I allow time for a check-ing with students and the start and end of each session so that we can adapt the course schedule as we go along to best suit the needs of the student.
