My tutoring style involves looking deeply at the specific texts that the students have been looking at in class and accordingly, tackling essay questions that target the student's specific concerns for their exams. In the past, my tutor sessions have excelled when a written piece that has been prepared is brought to the session in order that the student and I can look retrospectively at what was done well and what needs more work. This way, strengths can increase and weaknesses can be resolved. My love for English literature is something that I wish to be able to share and so engaging with students who have the same desire to develop in their abilities, gives me great joy.
I am a masters student at the University of Oxford and have 7 years work experience in informal education. My focuses are in nurturing healthy and strong writing habits for younger students in humanities. I am familiar with the GCSE and A Level syllabuses for English Literature, English Language, Philosophy and Religious Studies. I would be delighted to offer private tuition in any of these areas and more. I am open to catering tutoring classes as desired by each client.
