Emily Pinhorn

I am passionate about my work and aim to create a positive and enriching learning environment for every student I have. Having learnt languages from a young age, I have direct knowledge of what it is like to learn a foreign language and can put myself in the learner’s shoes.

I am flexible and aim to adapt to each learner’s needs, whether that be effective communication in the workplace, preparing for an exam or everyday English for socialising. I use a range of materials and where relevant will suggest books, podcasts and series to further my students' learning outside of the classroom. I review each student's level and their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary before creating a plan suited to their needs and their objectives.

To tell you a little bit more about me, I am based in Spain, though originally from the UK therefore the classes I offer are online. I have been working for the last nine years in English teaching. Having completed my degree in French & Spanish, I did my CELTA teacher training at International House London in June 2013 and I have been teaching English ever since (both face to face and increasingly online since the pandemic). Whilst working at International House Santander I completed the Young Learner CELTA extension offered by International House (2014). I also hold a Masters in Montessori Elementary Teaching, which I completed in December 2021.

I am fun, cheerful and put 100% effort into everything that I do.
