FASHION

I am an experienced fashion educator with six years employment at a leading London university institution. I have held the title of Senior Lecturer and Fashion & Fabrication Pathway Lead and have experience in helping students to develop their individual craft and continue progression onto degrees and into employment. I can assist with skills (sewing, designing, drawing, pattern cutting etc), portfolio development or creating a personalised curriculum to allow you to develop your craft as a Fashion designer. I have also taught costume and textiles (Foundation Level at Further Education) and sent students onto renowned UAL courses such as Central Saint Martins and Wimbledon.

I hold a BA in Fashion Design and have professional experience working at leading LVMH fashion brands as well as running my own sustainable denim company. I also work as a freelancer for other designers assisting with product development, pattern cutting, sampling and consultancy.

YOGA

I am a 200hours qualified yoga teacher certified by Yoga Alliance. I trained in Bali under the guidance of traditional Indian teachers from Rishikesh and formalised my teaching in Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga. I also have a longtime personal practice where I practice Dharma yoga and this definitely influences my classes. I have a six year long background as a university educator in Fashion Design and this has definitely helped to inform and transition into teaching a different discipline.

My style as a teacher is to create a safe and accessible space for every level of practitioner to learn about asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath control) and meditation. I also continue to study yoga philosophy and enjoy bringing this into my classes. I enjoy a dynamic practice that includes breath led flowing movement as well as longer holds in order to feel into a posture, create awareness and alignment. However I can also offer gentler and slower forms of movement if this is more suited to the individual practitioner. Modifications and variations are always offered to allow the student to make the best decision for their body on the day.

I teach classes in London at an independent studio, online and within a gym setting and I am happy to teach privately either online or in person. I can also offer corporate packages for those who would like to expand a wellness offering to their team.
