Bonjour! My name is Emilia, and I specialise in teaching beginner-level French to learners of all ages. Whether you’re a student seeking academic support, an adult learning for travel, or simply curious about French culture, I design lessons that are structured, engaging, and tailored to your goals.

I have 3 years of experience tutoring French across a range of ages and adapt my approach to fit different learning styles, whether visual, auditory, or hands-on. Additionally, with a BSc in Psychology and my professional experience supporting young people with their mental health, I bring patience, empathy, and strong communication skills into my teaching.

Each session is interactive and tailored to suit your specific needs. I combine speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities to ensure balanced progress. A typical lesson includes a warm-up conversation or vocabulary recap, introduction of new vocabulary or grammar through real-life contexts, interactive practice through games, or exercises, exploration of French culture through film clips, music, and everyday dialogues and take-away practice tasks.

By incorporating films and other authentic materials, lessons give you a feel for real French language, culture, and expression and make it fun!

By the end of just a few weeks, you’ll be able to introduce yourself, hold simple conversations, and understand key vocabulary in everyday contexts. Over time, you’ll build the confidence to order food, ask for directions, talk about your interests, and enjoy French media.
