Eloise Allen

Hi, I am Eloise. I am 22 years old and I have just graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in English and Hispanic Studies.

My lessons are very practical. I give you the opportunity to use Spanish in practice whilst learning, as I feel that this is the most productive way to learn. In my own experience, focusing only on grammar and translation can only teach you so much. So whilst I like to explain grammar concepts and do some translation exercises, the best way for you to grasp these concepts is to hear them being used and to practice using them yourself. I prefer to focus on perfecting your speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.

I also make my lessons fun by teaching you about culture and history. I like to give you the opportunity to personalise your lessons by telling me what most interests you. If you like reading fantasy novels for example, I will incorporate extracts from Spanish fantasy novels into our lessons. My aim is to personalise my lessons to your needs whilst making them as fun as possible for each student. I know that every student learns differently, so I can always adapt if something is not working or if there is a particular way you prefer to learn!
