Newly qualified yoga teacher eager to spread the joy of movement through the medium of yoga. I teach Vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on a strong and steady paced flow. My approach to teaching is relaxed and fun loving - Yoga is a tool for exploring and creating a deeper understanding of the self it's not about advanced postures or how things look. I encourage each student to explore and embrace their individuality helping them to uncover their own unique personal practice. All levels are welcome as I offer many variations, modifications and encourage the use of props during my classes. Expect to have some fun as we explore and play with postures whilst strengthening the mind body connection. I offer pranayama (breathing) techniques in my classes to help students ground down, find their centre and then use that breath as an anchor as they flow.
I come from a fitness background and have a level 3 personal trainer qualification which I gained from studying HND fitness, health and exercise at college. In addition to this I also have a level 2 circuits instructor qualification. Previously, I have organised and ran my own public circuits sessions weekly. I currently teach 2 classes a week at pure gym Paisley. I incorporate and utilise my prior fitness knowledge when sequencing my yoga in order to create varied, effective and safe flows suitable for all levels and bodies. I hope to inspire my students to grow and maintain their yoga practice whilst discovering all the benefits that yoga has to offer. I hope to see you on the mat!
