I am an experienced History teacher with six years of classroom experience, offering tuition to students studying at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they are looking to build their confidence, strengthen their historical knowledge, improve their essay writing or develop their exam technique. I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and focused, while helping students become more confident and independent learners.

I have taught GCSE History across the Edexcel, AQA and OCR specifications, giving me a broad understanding of different exam boards and the skills required to succeed in each. At A Level, I have taught Edexcel’s Stuart Britain and German Unification, Division and Reunification.

Lessons can be adapted depending on the student’s goals. We might work through challenging topics, practice exam questions and essays, develop approaches to source and interpretation questions or focus on revision and preparation for upcoming exams.

Having taught History in the classroom for six years, I understand the challenges students can face and the importance of explaining complex historical ideas clearly. My aim is not only to help students achieve strong results but also to develop their confidence and enjoyment of the subject. I truly believe history arms students with transferable skills that, when mastered, will serve them well in whatever field they choose to pursue.
