-5+ years tutoring Scottish higher, A-level and GCSE English online and in-person, with taught students consistently achieving their expected grades or above.
-Masters degree in Modern and Contemporary Literature and Culture from the University of St. Andrews, first-class degree in English Literature and Language from the University of St. Andrews, A* in English Language A-level
-Experience as an English language teacher abroad

Lesson format:
-Online lessons delivered over Zoom or Microsoft Teams, at times which suit the student's needs.
-Flexible schedule.
-Combined teaching method of powerpoint presentations, past exam questions and discussion-led interactions to identify student strengths and weaknesses.
-Assured confidentiality and reliable provision of a safe-space for students to express their concerns or frustrations with the learning process in a supportive environment.
-Confidence-building techniques, such as helping students to learn their mark schemes and to vocalise and develop their own strengths.
-Engaging lesson production, with images, links to extra resources and tailored content to match their interests where possible.
-Good communication between parents, Find Tutors and the students themselves in order to facilitate smooth schedule-construction and to ensure parents are informed of the students' progress over time.
-Availability over Whatsapp for students to ask questions at any time of day, in the event that they get stuck on a question or would like access to extra resources.
