Elizabeth Edwards

I am a linguist and musician with a lifelong love of learning. I studied Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge before completing my Master’s degree in Linguistics in Bamberg, Germany, entirely in German. Alongside German, I have also spent time learning and teaching French and Russian. I retrained as a teacher after working as an in-house translator after my Master's, and am passionate about drawing the best out of my students and celebrating their successes.

I have five years' classroom experience in state and private schools, spanning school years 6-13. I have helped students apply for top universities and have seen all my exam pupils either reach or exceed their target grades.

I see each learner as the individual they are, and tailor my teaching to your level, interests and goals. Whether you are preparing for exams, need an extra boost at school, or simply want to pick up a new skill, I'm here to help.

I use a variety of textbooks and resources to create a course of study that is bespoke to you. If your goal is preparing for a non-school-based exam and you need help choosing a textbook or other resources that are right for you, this is something we can discuss and identify together based on your level, language experience and learning needs.
