Hello! I'm Elizabeth. I am a linguist with a lifelong love of learning. I studied Modern Languages at Cambridge University before completing my Master’s degree in Linguistics in Bamberg, Germany, entirely in German.

I have five years' classroom experience in state and private schools, spanning school years 6-13. I have helped students apply for top universities and have seen all my exam pupils either reach or exceed their goals in languages.

I am experienced in teaching at 6th form level for both IB (Language B) and A-Level. Alongside working with you or your child in German grammar and vocabulary, I can help improve writing and exam skills, and support you in your university application journey for languages courses.

I have a track record in enabling students to achieve at least their predicted grade at GCSE and am familiar with both the standard and international GCSE qualifications. I can offer extensive support, including (but not limited to) oral exam preparation, developing writing and translation skills, and organising your revision time.

I also offer tailored German tuition for adults, whether you’re starting from scratch or building on existing language skills. My lessons are flexible and designed around your goals—whether you’re learning for fun, for work, or to achieve a qualification. Together, we’ll focus on practical communication as well as the cultural insights that make language learning so rewarding.
