German tutor with Cambridge background and classroom experience (PGCE)

I am Cambridge-educated and have a Master's degree in language learning. I am a qualified teacher with five years' experience of teaching German, including beginners all the way up to GCSE and A Level/IB. This means I have a solid understanding of how to work constructively with young learners and support them in achieving their goals. From my perspective, direct classroom experience is essential to deliver high-quality tutoring, as it equips the tutor with first-hand knowledge of the UK education framework and examination processes.

I am experienced in teaching at 6th form level for both IB (Language B) and A Level. Alongside working with you or your child in German grammar and vocabulary, I can help improve writing and exam skills, and support you in your university application journey for languages courses.

I have a track record in enabling students to achieve at least their predicted grade at GCSE and am familiar with both the standard and international GCSE qualifications. I can offer extensive support, including (but not limited to) oral exam preparation, developing writing and translation skills, and organising your revision time.

I also offer tailored German tuition for adults, whether you’re starting from scratch or building on existing language skills. My lessons are flexible and designed around your goals—whether you’re learning for fun, for work, or to achieve a qualification. Together, we’ll focus on practical communication as well as the cultural insights that make language learning so rewarding.
