My lessons are structured, challenging and designed to make the best possible use of the your time. Rather than repeatedly completing easy exercises or revising topics you already understands, I focus on identifying the areas that are holding you back and helping you improve where it will make the greatest difference.
At the start, I assess the your current level, strengths and weaknesses. Each lesson is then tailored around specific objectives, such as focusing on a difficult topic, improving problem-solving ability, addressing gaps in knowledge or developing stronger exam technique.
I explain concepts clearly and break difficult problems into manageable steps, but I will also encourage you to think independently and attempt challenging questions. My aim is not simply to help you complete the work in front of you, but to develop the reasoning and confidence needed to approach unfamiliar problems without assistance.
I am studying Engineering at the University of Cambridge and have three years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths, A-Level Maths and Further Maths. I understand that serious progress requires more than completing large numbers of repetitive questions. A tutor to guide you towards your academic goals in the most efficient way possible can make all the difference, especially on the path to higher education.
Every lesson has a clear purpose. You will finish each session having improved your understanding, corrected a weakness or developed a stronger method for approaching difficult questions. My goal is to challenge students appropriately while providing the support they need to make consistent and measurable progress.
