I am an Economics undergraduate at the University of Exeter holding an Enhanced DBS certificate, with A* grades in A-Level Economics and Geography, and an A in A-Level Maths. Having previously tutored GCSE Maths one-to-one, I understand how to build both student confidence and academic rigour.
Who My Lessons Are For
GCSE Maths: Year 10 and Year 11 students (Foundation and Higher tiers) looking to secure or elevate their target grade.
A-Level Economics & Geography: Year 12 and Year 13 students aiming for top-tier grades for university admission.
My Teaching Methodology
My approach centres on active recall and exam-technique mastery:
For GCSE Maths: We break down complex, multi-step problems into simple, repeatable frameworks, focusing heavily on past-paper practice so there are no surprises on exam day.
For A-Level Economics & Geography: Theory is only half the battle. We focus on essay structure, high-level evaluation skills, and decoding exam-board mark schemes so you know exactly how examiners award top marks.
Lesson Format & Length
Standard Lesson: 60 minutes (ideal for consistent weekly progress and topic review).
Intensive Revision: 90-minute sessions are available during mock exam periods or pre-exam revision blocks.
Lessons can be held in-person locally in Exeter or online using interactive digital whiteboards and shared screen resources.
