I am a university student currently at university of Gloucestershire, currently studying Wildlife Conservation Biology. I completed my A levels which included grade B at History and Geography, which I am open to tutoring in both. Since I am a University Student and tutoring in my spare time outside of lectures, I do not have a DBS check, however I do have references from lecturers and teachers supporting me should the Parental Guardian or student require them.

I like to adapt my lessons to the learners pace and ability as not all students learn the same way. I like to do both visual and recall learning.

To start, we would begin by reviewing what the student is studying in their specific subjects and any areas they find challenging. From there, we draw up a simple and effective schedule and learning techniques over a set amount of time and set a goal. (for instance being able to recall a specific module before their next exam).

A typical session online would include a mix of content learning and skills development. I encourage students to think critically and there is no shame in wrong answers as we are looking to improve. It's more important for the student to be able to explain things in their own words with critical thinking to help build confidence and deeper understanding.

I have had experience in high school at tutoring different levels and abilities and aim to create a supportive and motivating environment, so that learners feel comfortable making mistakes whilst also being able to learn from them.
