I always adapt my online lessons to the needs of the student. Having established the course topics the student wishes to explore, we then thoroughly revise the topics in detail and then consolidate learning using topic questions or exam questions. On other occasions, particularly before examinations, I may have a question and answer session with the student, to identify topics requiring further revision.
Lessons last for one hour, during which course topics may be highlighted using relevant diagrams, videos, or explanations of calculations using the online whiteboard.
Prior to examinations, I normally test student learning, by going over entire past papers. Students can then identify areas of weakness, requiring further work.
