I am a chemistry tutor with experience in one-to-one tutoring. I am also a Food Scientist with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Food Science, with experience working both in industry and in a research laboratory.

I offer tutoring sessions to students at National 5 or Higher levels, either online via Zoom, or in-person within the Glasgow City area.

My tutoring approach focuses on making chemistry easier to understand by breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use relatable examples and practical applications to help students understand the theory, rather than simply memorising facts ahead of a test or exam.

My sessions include clear explanations, worked examples, past exam paper questions and reviews to reinforce understanding and identify areas for improvement. We will discuss exam techniques and how to tackle challenging questions.

Every student learns differently and finds certain chemistry topics more challenging than others. I adapt my sessions to suit the student's individual needs, challenges and academic goals. My goal is to create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop confidence in their abilities and achieve their full potential in chemistry.
