I'm Dr Hashmi, a university lecturer and Doctor of Business Administration with over 10 years of experience teaching Economics and Business Studies. I currently teach undergraduate Economics at a UK university college and have previously delivered GCSE and A-Level lessons in schools, so I understand what's expected at every level.
My lessons are structured but never rigid. I start by identifying where you are and where you need to be, then build each session around your specific goals. Whether that's nailing an exam question, understanding a tricky concept, or getting stronger at essay technique. I don't just talk at you for an hour. Sessions are interactive, with questions, worked examples, and discussion that keeps you thinking and engaged.
I teach Economics and Business Studies from GCSE through to MSc level. Topics I cover regularly include microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, economic policy, business strategy, and research methods. For university students, I also offer support with dissertations and academic writing.
What makes my sessions different is that I bring real-world context into everything. I use current events, case studies, and practical examples to make theory feel relevant rather than abstract. My doctoral research focused on institutional economics and microfinance, which gives me a depth that helps university-level students in particular.
I'm patient, honest, and focused on building your confidence alongside your knowledge. I teach online using interactive tools and flexible scheduling to fit around your commitments. If you're willing to put in the work, I'll make sure you get results.
