I use Google Slides for presentations. I focus on teaching techniques so that GCSE or A Level Sociology content stays in your long-term memory and in doing lots of interactive quizzes as a fun way to remember the content. I mix that up with focusing on teaching you how to answer and structure the different types of exam questions that come up. I also teach you revision techniques that you can use for all of your subjects. As a former English teacher, I am very good at showing you how to structure your essays.

I can also provide support with completing coursework for Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care.

I am a qualified teacher with 26 years experience of teaching with a degree in both English and Sociology. I used to be a Head of Department, then a senior leader of very large schools all the way up to Acting Headteacher. I have a reputation in my home city of Bristol as strong teacher and leader as I also do a lot of national work around the country supporting schools and speaking at conferences or delivering workshops on the topic of equality, diversity and inclusion, especially anti-racism work, for which I have been nominated for, and won, awards. I am therefore very knowledge about social justice issues, politics and current affairs which I like to bring into my teaching to help you relate what you're learning to what is happening around us in our society and across the world.
