I teach in my local mixed, comprehensive secondary school and have been Head of Sociology for many years. I specialise in AQA A Level and GCSE sociology and bring a wealth of experience to my teaching. Alongside being in the classroom, I also tutor virtually on a private 1-2-1 basis and my private students have achieved their goals for the subject, just as much my classroom students have achieved their aspirational grades.

I am passionate about my subject and am confident in teaching all aspects of subject knowledge and exam technique. Whether you are after a regular form of weekly support or a last push before examination windows, I will be able to bring you confidence and support your with areas you are looking to address.

I am enthusiastic, articulate and supportive of all students. I also bring my experience as a Head of Subject, and Head of Year and SEND specialist to the table.

My son is bright, but by the time he reached Year 10 he had become a reluctant learner and was increasingly disengaged with school. Jess was exceptional. She took the time to source original and engaging materials that she knew would genuinely interest him, and she had the perfect balance of patience, encouragement and firm guidance to keep him motivated and progressing. She has an amazing ability to raise skills, confidence and

I genuinely cannot recommend Jessica highly enough. She has been my tutor throughout my SATs, GCSEs, and A Levels, and I truly believe I wouldn’t have achieved the grades I did without her support. Jessica is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. She has a way of explaining even the most difficult topics so they become easy to understand, and she always took the time to make sure I felt confident before moving on. Every lesson was well-prepared, engaging, and tailored to what I needed help with the most. What really sets Jessica apart is how much she genuinely cares about her students. She constantly motivated me to believe in myself, especially during stressful exam periods, and always celebrated my progress no matter how big or small. Her kindness, reassurance, and dedication made such a positive difference to my confidence as well as my academic performance. Thanks to Jessica’s support over the years, I achieved grades that I am incredibly proud of in my SATs,
