My Italian lessons are practical, personalised and focused on helping you use Italian with confidence.

Each lesson is adapted to your level, objectives and interests. I combine conversation, listening, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation so that you are not only learning Italian, but actually using it.

???? What does a typical lesson look like?

We usually begin with a short conversation or warm-up to get you speaking Italian from the start. We then work on the main topic or language area of the lesson, using realistic situations, questions, dialogues and exercises.

Depending on your level and goals, we may focus on:

I believe that mistakes are an important part of learning. I encourage students to speak, experiment with the language and gradually become more accurate and confident.

For students who particularly want to improve their speaking, lessons can be highly conversational, with role plays, discussions, storytelling and questions that encourage you to express opinions and develop longer answers.

For students who need more structured support, I can provide a clear progression through grammar, vocabulary and language skills, with exercises and homework between lessons.

I also like to bring Italian culture into lessons. We can use authentic situations, current topics, Italian films, music, food, travel and everyday life to make the language more interesting and memorable.

As a qualified teacher with experience working with learners at different levels, I understand that every student learns differently. My aim is to create a relaxed but purposeful environment where you know what you are learning, why you are learning it and how to improve.
